Georganne Rudiger Berdo

      Georganne Rudiger Berdo, age 82, after months of pain, died peacefully in her home on Monday, June 19, 2006 with her husband of 62 years, Thomas J. Berdo, her oldest daughter, Susan Berdo Stannard of North Liberty, Iowa and her only son Thomas Berdo (Roberta) of North Liberty, Iowa, by her side. Her daughter Rebecca Berdo Stone (Patrick) of Snohomish, Washington was unable to be present physically at her death but was present in spirit.

      Those left to honor her memory besides her husband and children are her five grandchildren, Kendra Abel (Yon), Kylie Stannard, J.T. Stone, Evan Stone and Haley Berdo, and her sister Jeanne Heger and her family in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. She was preceded in death by her parents George W. and Mildred R. McLaughlin Rudiger.

      A celebration of Georganne's life will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Washington with Rev. Julie Poulsen officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. A time of food and fellowship will follow the committal service at the United Methodist Church. The Jones Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
