George Edward Eash

      WELLMAN-George Edward Eash, 79, of Wellman died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, of an aortic aneurysm.

      Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at United Christian and Baptist Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Rolland Smith officiating. Following, the service, a lunch will be served, and the family will greet friends at this time. A private family graveside service will be held in the Wassonville Cemetery near Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for United Christian and Baptist Church or Habitat for Humanity. The Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wellman is in charge of arrangements.

      Mr. Eash was born Nov. 28, 1927, near Wellman, to Frank and Erma (Swartzendruber) Eash. He married Ruth Marie Olson on Dec. 29, 1956, in Red Bank, N.J.
