George J. Angerer

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - George J. Angerer, 94, of Lanette, Ala., formerly of Wapello, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in his daughter's home in Alabama.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in the St. Mathias Catholic Church in Muscatine with the Rev. Paul Appel officiating. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine with a 7 p.m. rosary. A memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Angerer was born Sept. 17, 1913, in West Liberty, the son of George and Margaret (Brown) Angerer. He married Helen Adelaide Kelso on June 14, 1940 in Kahoka, Mo.
