BRIGHTON ? George R. Lough, 85, of Brighton, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, in All-American Care in Washington.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton with the Rev. Rick Zickefoose officiating. Memorials for HCI Hospice of Mount Pleasant may be sent to Nancy Lough at 407 S. Mechanic, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lough was born May 31, 1930, near Memphis, Missouri, the son of Ray Webb and Elsie Viola (Adams) Lough. He married Nancy Starr on May 29, 1965, in Washington.
He attended schools in both Missouri and Wyoming, where his family lived for many years. He worked general labor, including construction and rock quarry work before he was disabled. He had lived in Brighton the past 47 years.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy, of Brighton; two children; several grandchildren; one brother, Raymond, of Riverton, Wyoming; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Conway, and Mildred Hayes; and three brothers, Gordon, Ed, and John.
