George Stout Jr.

      George Stout Jr., 70, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kitch Schatzer officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mr. Stout was born Feb. 23, 1937, on a farm near West Chester, the son of George and Mildred (Gorsch) Stout. He married Judy Skubal on Oct. 5, 1973, in Columbus Junction. He was previously married to Sandra Ornduff.
