George Walter Miller

      George Walter Miller, 89, of Washington, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, in the Washington Care Center after being ill for the last three months.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Sue Meade officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Washington County or Riverside Trinity United Methodist Church.

      Mr. Miller was born Dec. 21, 1917, in rural Washington County, the son of George Sr. and Rose (Schroeder) Miller. He married Emma Lucille Finke on April 18, 1945, in Sigourney.
