Gerald Britton

Gerald Britton, 79 of Kalona, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services have been set for 11:00 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial in the name of Gerald Britton has been established to Hospice of Washington County.

Gerald was born August 9, 1939 in Kalona, Iowa the son of William Scott and Rose (Pitlick) Britton. He graduated from Kalona High School and served in the US Army.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Ramsey on December 11, 1964 in Charleston, AR.

Gerald farmed the century farm all his life. He enjoyed reading, hunting, traveling, gardening and bird watching.

Survivors include his wife Patsy, sons, Tim (Merre Mahan), Kalona, Tracy (Sheila), Wellman and Chad, Milwaukee, WI; siblings, Dale (Ann) Britton, Kalona and Edith Stransky, Kalona; three grandchildren, Miranda, Morgan and Paul.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
