Gerald E. Chance
Gerald E. Chance, 80, of Coralville, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, following a brief illness.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at the St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the New Haven Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A general memorial has been established.
Mr. Chance was born on Dec. 4, 1926, in Washington, the son of Earl and Lucy (Fritz) Chance. He attended the Centennial School, and graduated from Washington High School in 1945.
