Gerald Hartman

      Gerald Hartman, 79, of Fairfield, died at 9:39 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2007, in the Jefferson County Hospital Emergency Room in Fairfield.

      The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

      According to Mr. Hartman's wishes, the body will be cremated following the funeral.

      In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.

      Mr. Hartman was born May 16, 1928, in Albia, the son of David and Myrtle Neal Hartman. Sept. 7, 1973, he married Genevie Napple Regnier in Albia.
