Geraldine Meeker Schomberg

COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Geraldine Meeker Schomberg, 96, of Letts, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, in Trinity Hospital in Muscatine.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the Letts United Methodist Church in Letts with the Rev. Collette Gould officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. Following the committal, there will be a time of food and fellowship at the Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Memorials may be directed to the Letts United Methodist Church, the Food Pantry of Louisa County or World Neighbors.

    Mrs. Schomberg was born Jan. 25, 1914, near Cranston in Muscatine County, the daughter of Wilbur Ernest and Effie A. (Shires) Meeker. She married Frederick Max ?Ted? Schomberg on Aug. 14, 1935, at the Meeker home near Cranston.
