Gertie Bontrager
KALONA - Gertie Bontrager, 71, of Kalona, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following heart surgery.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at the Sharon Bethel Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Delmar Bontrager, the Rev. Jacob Yoder, the Rev. Gabriel Beachy and the Rev. Earl Peachey officiating. Burial will be in East Union Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. this evening, and beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at the church. A general memorial fund has been established.
