Gertrude A. Anderson

      IOWA CITY - Gertrude A. Anderson, 85, of Iowa City died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 in the Kahl Home in Davenport.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree with Carol Kaalberg, parish life coordinator, presiding. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following committal services, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree with a rosary service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the West Liberty Library for children's literature.

      Mrs. Anderson was born May 9, 1921 in West Liberty, the daughter of Bernard H. and Louise R. (Meyers) Nortman. She married Glenn E. Anderson on Jan. 21, 1943 in West Liberty.
