Gertrude E. Krogmeier

      Gertrude E. Krogmeier, 83, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Arbor Court.

      A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, where a rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Family visitation will follow the rosary service.

      Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

      Mrs. Krogmeier was born Feb. 24, 1924, in West Point, the daughter of Alois C. and Anna E. Dingman Fraise. She married Jerome G. Krogmeier May 5, 1942, in St. Paul, Iowa. He died May 20, 2006.
