Gilbert Joseph Berry

Gilbert Joseph Berry died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007.

      "Joe," as he was known to everyone, suffered a stroke on Wednesday, Jan. 31 and never regained consciousness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 10 am, at the Sycamore Baptist Church in Muscatine. Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 pm at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine. Memorials may be made to the church or the family's choice. Burial will be at the Keota Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

Joe was born in English River Township, Keokuk County on April 21, 1925. He was the son of John Berry and Sarah Kelly. He married Nellie Smith on July 9, 1949. The couple lived in Muscatine and both were very active in the Sycamore Baptist Church.
