Gladys L. Koening

KALONA - Gladys L. Koening, 80, of Iowa City, and formerly of Kalona, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Mark Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where there will be a rosary service at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be directed to the Kalona Library or the Audobon Society.
