Gladys Marie Widmer

Gladys Marie Widmer, 96, of Wayland, died Monday, June 29, 2009, in the Parkview Home in Wayland following declining health.

    Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery with the Rev. Kelly Slagel officiating.  Family visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service, Wednesday, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that everyone try to live as Jesus did.  Donations may be sent to anyone in need.

    Mrs. Widmer was born April 26, 1913, in Wayland, the daughter of Peter J. and Lydia Katherine (Orendorff) Roth.  She married Henry Widmer on June 26, 1932, at the home of Simon Gingerich in Wayland.
