Glen D. Wenger June 18, 1917 - April 24, 2004

Glen David Wenger, 86, of Simpsonville, S.C. and formerly of Wayland, died on April 24, 2004.

      A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 at Bethel Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Phil Slabaugh and Herb Yoder officiating. The body has been cremated and there will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethel Mennonite Church Glen Wenger Memorial. Beatty Funeral Home of Wayland is assisting with local arrangements.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Robert and his wife Linda Wenger, Daniel and his wife Linda Wenger, all of Wayland, Joseph and his wife Linda Wenger of Washington, Edward and his wife Lynn Wenger of Ohio, Sam and his wife Elaine Wenger, and Orie and his wife Beverly Wenger of South Carolina; two daughters, Karen and her husband Vernon Leichty, and Ester and her husband Leland Leichty, all of Wayland; 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; a brother, Emery Wenger; and two sisters, Martha Roth and Mary Wyse.
