Glen D. Woodsmall

Glen Dean Woodsmall, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Henry County Health Center.

Open visitation will be held until p.m. today, March 21, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel. There will not be a family visitation time. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with Mr. H. Wayne Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

Born Sept. 7, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Glen Dean was the son of Wendell W. "Barney" and Alice E. Johnson Woodsmall. In his younger years. Glen participated in many of the programs that were sponsored by ARC (the Association for Retarded Citizens). He later attended Hope Haven for 34 years, and was employed by McDonald's in Mt. Pleasant for five years.

Glen was a sports enthusiast for all seasons and for all sports. He collected baseball cards and team caps for every kind of sport. He enjoyed following the professional baseball teams and tracking each one's current place in the standings. Glen also loved music, particularly the recordings of the Beatles, the Dave Clark Five and other groups of the sixties era.

Glen is survived by his parents of Mt. Pleasant, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank H. and Elsie Johnson and Clarence and Florence Woodsmall.
