Glendean Sexton May 23, 1923 - November 6, 2005

      Glendean Sexton, 82, of Columbus Junction, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch of Columbus Junction United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Colonial Manor activity department.

      Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mark Buffington of Bonaparte, and Collin "Corky" Buffington of Columbus Junction; two daughters, Marcia Cherry of Conesville, and Rolene Fuller of Columbus Junction; two stepdaughters, Linda Gibson of Cumming and Annie Kidd of San Marcos, Texas; a stepson, James Sexton of Houston; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, William Trout of Marion; and a sister, Ethel Parker of Mt. Pleasant.

      In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, four sisters and a stepson.
