Glenn I. Swartz

MOUNT PLEASANT ? Glenn I. Swartz, 70, of Crawfordville, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at his home.

    According to Mr. Swartz?s wishes, the body has been cremated.  A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Olds United Church of Christ with the Rev. Carl Vass and the Rev. Elaine Vass officiating.  Memorials have been established for the Olds United Church of Christ, and to P.A.L.S. (Passing Along Loving Smiles), a project founded by Mr. Swartz?s granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kelly. The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant is assisting the family with the arrangements.

    Mr. Swartz was born Oct. 31, 1938, in Champaign, Ill., the son of Jerome B. and Dema L. (Baker) Swartz.  He married Patricia Ann Ward on Nov. 29, 1958, in St. Louis, Mo.
