Glenn Thompson March 17, 1916 - April 30, 2005

Glenn Thompson, 89, of Macomb, Ill., formerly of Blandinsville, Ill., died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral home in Blandinsville, with the Rev. Lyren Haney officiating. Burial will be in Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the funeral home, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to Wesley Village Healthcare of Blandinsville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Robert of Farmington, Ronald of Blandinsville, Dale of LaHarpe, Roger of Sciota, Steve of Enterprise, Ala., and Greg of Golden; a daughter, Kay Kirkpatrick of Buchnell; 21 grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Crabill of Mt. Pleasant.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a grandson and a brother.
