(Glenn) Willard McCracken

      OSKALOOSA - (Glenn) Willard McCracken, 88, of Oskaloosa, formerly of Ainsworth, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 in Northern Mahaska Nursing and Rehab Center in Oskaloosa.

      As was his wish, his body was donated to the School of Anatomy at the University of Iowa. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. today in the Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa with the Rev. Robert Dean officiating. Memorial military rites were given by member of the Oskaloosa D.A.V., V.F.W. and American Legion. Memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church or to the Ainsworth Community Church. The Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. McCracken was born Aug. 28, 1920, near Richland, the son of Preston Paul and Mary Margaret (Welch) McCracken. He married Freda Akins on Feb. 15, 1946 in Kirkwood.
