Gloralie Hayes Martensen of Longmont, CO went to her eternal home on May 5, 2019 at the age 87. Gloralie grew up in the Pleasant Plain/Fairfield area and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1950. In 1953, she married Francis (Bud) Avery, they lived in Washington, IA until 1961, then moved to Greeley, CO. They had 2 children, Tim Avery, (Bennie Jo) now residing in Longmont CO, and Pam Bernard (Ron), residing in Phoenix, AZ. They later divorced and in 1981 she married Ray Martensen. He passed away in 2002.

As a follower of Jesus, Gloralie looked forward to church on Sunday and lunch with friends and on Tuesday mornings with the Caleb group at her church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and also loved camping and fishing in the mountains of Colorado with Ray.

Besides their 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, she is survived by sister, Mary Lu Paul of Brighton and one brother, Bob Hayes of Lockridge. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Bill of Boulder CO and her parents, Harold and Louise Hayes of Richland. A memorial service will be on June 7.
