Goldie F. Swift

      Goldie F. Swift, 85, of Washington, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003. at Washington County Hospital in Washington.

      Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation began the morning at the funeral home and will continue this evening, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County or First Christian Church.

      Mrs. Swift was born on Sept. 5, 1917, in Woodbine, to James Walter and Maud Estella (Willis) Mincey. She married Joseph R. Leon, and after his death married Chick Swift, who also preceded her in death.
