Gomer E. Davis

      WINFIELD - Gomer E. Davis, 68, of Crawfordsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, in the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in the Salem Welsh United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Loran Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Cambrian Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, where the family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Salem Welsh Church or the Cancer Care of Iowa.

      Mr. Davis was born Nov. 27, 1938, in Louisa County, the son of Alfred E. and M. Eleanor (Griffith) Davis. He married Brenda Wood in 1961. He later married Carol Hoaglin in 1972. They later divorced.
