Gordon 'Gordy' Pearson
KEOTA-Gordon "Gordy" Pearson, 79, of Keota, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Maplewood Manor in Keota, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating. Private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. this evening, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Iowa City or the Washington County Animal Shelter.
Mr. Pearson was born on Jan. 7, 1925, in West Chester, to Willis Earl and Sarah Jane (Rohrer) Pearson. On Aug. 23, 1947, he married Rosalie Smith in Keota.
