Greta M. Freeman

Greta May Freeman, 106, of Bettendorf, formerly of Rome, died Sunday, Jan. 6, at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Pleasant Valley.

Family graveside services will be held in Rome at a later date.

She was born May 15, 1901 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Arthur and Maude Mitchell Dold. On Dec. 8, 1927, she married William H. Freeman in Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death in 1940. She later married Tom Freeman in Mt. Pleasant.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Frances Ebbesmier of Burlington; three sons, William A. Freeman of Newburg, Ind., Eugene Freeman of Bettendorf and Larry Freeman of Bettendorf; her sister, Rosemary Mason of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husbands, daughter Fern, sister Florence Redfern and brothers, Ora and James Dold, preceded her in death.
