Gretchen Hanshaw

      MT. PLEASANT- Gretchen Hanshaw, three-week-old infant daughter of Jerry and Lynn Hanshaw of Salem, died Sunday, July 8, 2007 during a family camping outing.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 16 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Don Coffin and the Rev. Nathan Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.

      Gretchen Hanshaw was born June 13, 2007 in Iowa City, the daughter of Jerry and Lynn Hanshaw. She recognized the sound of her mother's voice and loved to be held and rocked. She liked music.
