H. Virgil Fetterman September 26, 1930 - April 11, 2004

Hubert Virgil Fetterman, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14 at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery. Visitation began after noon today at the chapel, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Mt. Pleasant Little League, the White Oak Cemetery or to the Henry County Cancer Fund.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debbie and her husband Mike Garmoe of Mt. Pleasant, Pam and her husband Alan Burden of New London, and Melody and her husband Jim Schadt of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Nathan and his wife Genny Fetterman of Salem; a sister, Woneta and her husband Howard Stewart of Mt. Pleasant; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
