Harold D. Schuessler

      LONE TREE - Harold D. Schuessler, 87, of Lone Tree, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in his home in Lone Tree following an extended illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 17 in the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree with the Rev. Jason Pittman and the Rev. Loren Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 16 in the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree with a 5 p.m. Masonic service. Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice.

      Mr. Schuessler was born Dec. 27, 1920, on the family farm near Lone Tree, the son of Stephen and Mary (Buline) Schuessler. He married Doris Wyjack on Dec. 27, 1941 in Iowa City.
