Harold E. 'Short' Peterseim

      KALONA - Harold E. "Short" Peterseim, 83, of Kalona, died Monday, June 23, 2008, in his home in Kalona of leukemia.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, in the Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona with the Rev. Lynn Patrick and the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona with graveside services by Richmond AMVETS Post No. 107. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home, where the family will be present from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Kalona United Methodist Church, the Hospice of Washington County, Kalona Public Library or Kalona Golf Club.

      Mr. Peterseim was born Nov. 28, 1924, the son of Rollin and Barb (Graybill) Peterseim. He married Janeth Holden on Oct. 16, 1956 in Morrison, Ill.
