Harold F. Spangler

      Harold F. Spangler, 86, of Washington died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 in the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following a decline in health.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with services conducted by Larry Fletcher. Burial with military honors conducted by Crawfordsville American Legion Post No. 593 and Washington American legion Post No. 29 will be in Crawfordsville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the United Church of Crawfordsville or the United Presbyterian Home.

      Mr. Spangler was born Oct. 18, 1920 in Crawfordsville, the son of Fred L. and Jennie (Allen) Spangler. He married Verna Briggs on Jan. 21, 1948 in Lockridge.
