Harold Garmoe

Harold W. Garmoe, 81, of Burlington, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center in New London.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7 at the chapel, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Moose Rites at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for New London Nursing and Rehab and Great River Hospice.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie and his wife Connie Garmoe of Mt. Pleasant, and Larry and his wife Rexanne Garmoe of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; two daughters, Sandra and her husband Gene Christner of Mt. Pleasant, and Shirley and her husband Danny Stewart of Burlington; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Garmoe of Mt. Pleasant; and a sister, Virginia Elmore of Seward, Neb.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Harold A. Garmoe; and two grandsons.
