Harry Hugo Lundin
Harry Hugo Lundin, 84, of Washington, died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in the Washington Care Center, of cancer.
His body has been cremated. Two memorial services will be held.
The first will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 22, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Jim Cluney officiating. The second will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, at the Chain O Lakes Evangelical Covenant Church in Johnsburg, Ill.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the Beatty Funeral Home. Following the memorial service in Washington, the family will greet friends for a luncheon in the fellowship center of the Beatty Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to either the First Assembly of God of Washington or Washington County Hospice.
Mr. Lundin was born January 1, 1916, in Chicago, the son of Hugo and Hilma Nelson Lundin. He married Harriet Slenger on January 16. 1937, in Chicago.
He was a purchasing agent for Systems Engineering in Chicago for 25 years, and moved to Washington in March 1999 from Belvidere, Ill.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jacqueline Bower of Columbus Junction and Donna Smith of Washington; a son, Harry Edward Lundin of Sioux City; a brother, William Lundin of McHenry, Ill.; a sister Amy Marshall of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren, and his sister Ethel Armour.
