Harry W. Riggs

Harry W. Riggs, 92, formerly of Fairfield, died Saturday, Dec. 13, at Bettendorf Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 18, at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, with the Rev. Suzy Swahn officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Fairfield.

Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 11, 1916, in Udell, the son of Roscoe and Oshia Wood Riggs. On Feb. 10, 1940, he married Katherine Crawford in Long Beach, Calif.
