Harvey D. Yoder

Funeral services for Harvey Dale Yoder, 80, life-long resident of Kalona, will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at the Kalona Mennonite Church. Burial will follow at the Peter Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m.-Noon, 2:00-4:00 and 6-8 p.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. Harvey died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Pleasantview Home following a brief illness.

Survivors include three siblings: Annie Ropp of Kalona, Mary Ellen (Edward) Slabaugh of Mt. Crawford, Va., John Henry (Clara) Yoder of Williamina, Ore.; five brothers-in-law: Joe Jr. Miller of Kalona, Verna Yoder of Dayton, Va., Ezra (Mary) Ropp of Middlebury, Ind., Vernon (Nina) Miller of Kalona, Jacob (Susie) Ropp of Kalona, Cecil (Dorothy) Ropp of Ava, Ill. and Virgil (Sue) Ropp of Middlebury, Ind.; three sisters-in-law: Emma (Oren) Miller and Vera Mast both of Kalona, Nancy (Benny) Yoder of Iowa City. Also surviving are 63 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding Harvey in death were his parents; his wife, Ruby Ann; a brother, Menno M. Yoder; two sisters: Lydia May Yoder and Erma Miller; brother-in-law, Chester Ropp; and sister-in-law, Freda Miller
