Harvey E. Winkempleck

Harvey Eugene "Gene" Winkempleck, 75, of Burlington, died Friday, Nov. 14, at Great River Medical Center Klein Unit.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Van Nyhuis officiating. Burial will be at Keokuk National Cemetery, with military rites.

He was born June 30, 1933, in Booneville, Ark., the son of Harvey and Kathryn Huffstetler Winkempleck. On June 10, 1958, he married Barbara Kant in Omaha, Neb.
