Heidi Jean Hiner was born September 14, 1968, in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a daughter of Lloyd & Sandra (Rohr) Fry. She graduated from Lawton-Bronson High School in 1987. On May 12, 2001, Heidi was united in marriage to Frank Hiner at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She loved children and worked in childcare/daycare for many years. Heidi was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg. She enjoyed traveling, flowers, bird watching, writing cards, window shopping, playing UNO, caring for her pets, and being a listener for anyone who needed an ear.
Heidi loved Jesus and placed her faith in Him at a young age. One of her greatest desires was to show the love and kindness of the Lord to those around her. Her life was one of faithfulness that deeply influenced her family, friends, and the many children for whom she cared.
Heidi died on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at her home in Williamsburg, at the age of 57 years.
She is survived by her husband Frank Hiner of Williamsburg; mother Sandra Fry of Bronson, Iowa; siblings Jim (Mary) Fry of Harlingen, Texas, Debbie Beier of Waterloo, Lisa (Phillip) Potter-Totten of Denison, Iowa, David (Kathy) Fry of Bronson, Iowa, Jeanette Allen of Sioux City, Iowa, and Kristie Teska of Bronson, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and special friends Jena Huizinga and Mary Hiner. She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Dean Fry.
Funeral services were held 10:30 am on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Harvest Baptist Church in Williamsburg. Burial followed in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the Harvest Baptist Church. A general memorial fund has been established.
