Helen Buch

Helen Buch, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Saint Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church, with Prayers for a Christian Wake at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Mercy Hospital Hospice in Iowa City. Cards and memorials may be sent to 2876 170th St., New Sharon 50207.

Mrs. Buch was born Aug. 4, 1933, in Glen Lyon, Pa., the daughter of Peter and Helen Pietkiewicz Turek. She married Eugene ?Gene? E. Buch Oct. 29, 1955. He died May 2, 2010.

Survivors include four children: Scott Buch and wife Carolyn of Fairfield, David Buch of Fairfield, Laura Buch of New Sharon and Barbara Miller and husband Danny of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Eleanor Adasczik of Scranton, Pa., and Anna Lange of Three Oaks, Mich.
