Helen D. Potter

      CEDAR RAPIDS - Helen D. Potter, 81, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Washington, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 in Iowa City Health and Rehab Center following a long illness.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. William B. Harnish officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice.

      Ms. Potter was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Anton and Lottie (Medulan) Voracek.

      Ms. Potter was employed for 13 years at Shopko prior to her illness. Ms. Potter greatly enjoyed playing bingo, cards, golf and bowling. Ms. Potter was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Washington.
