Helen H. Wikel
Helen Hazel Wikel, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, May 12, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.
Visitation will begin at noon Thursday, May 15, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, with family present. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Robert David officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
She was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Bellevue, the daughter of Elmer and Julia Tomlinson Emerson. On October 22, 1939, she married Neil Wikel in Marshalltown.
