Helen Imogene Rife

      LONETREE - Helen Imogene Rife, 98, of Lone Tree died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Lone Tree Health Care Center in Lone Tree, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m.. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, with Loren Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at United Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Friday, June 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Memorials have been established for United Presbyterian Church, Lone Tree Historical Society, Emma Beckman Order of Eastern Star of Columbus City or the Macular Degeneration Research Foundation.

      Mrs. Rife was born Sept. 17, 1906, to Knute H. and Ingeborg (Ton) Tone in Seattle, Wash. She married C. Raymond "Bud" Rife on April 4, 1934, in Marshalltown.
