Helen J. Taeger

Helen J. Taeger, 93, of Morning Sun, formerly of Prairie Grove, died April 13, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

      The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Peace Lutheran Church in Prairie Grove, with the Revs. Gary Boschee and David Vigen. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery in West Burlington. Visitation will be after noon today at Elliott Chapel in New London, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Donald and his wife Mary Taeger of Prairie Grove, and Kenny and his wife Tina Taeger of Danville; two daughters, Lois and her husband Paul Beckman of Prairie Grove, and Dorothy and her husband Leonard Lane of Mediapolis; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Florence Landwehr of Burlington, and Anna Henton of Los Angeles, Calif.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Hazel Beckman; a brother, Max Beckman; and an infant brother.
