Helen Jane Edmondson

Helen Jane Edmondson, 88, of Washington, formerly of Ames, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, in Halcyon House in Washington, after declining in health.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Kelly Allard officiating.  Burial will be at Oregon Township Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established for the Halcyon House Good Samaritan Fund.

    Mrs. Edmondson was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Spirit Lake, the daughter of William F. and Clara (Pfeiffer) Barrett.  She married Rollin Clair ?Ed? Edmondson on July 22, 1950, in Chicago, Ill.
