Helen L. Brown

      MT. PLEASANT - Helen L. Brown, 92, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, in the Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Jeff McPheron officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Central Iowa.

      Mrs. Brown was born July 18, 1916 in Washington County, the daughter of Joseph William and Iva Ann (Wallace) Martin. She married Leonard Brown on Feb. 18, 1939 in Washington.
