Helen L. Stagner

    MOUNT PLEASANT ? Helen L. Stagner, 81, of Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, in the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Deb Savage officiating.  Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  A general memorial has been established.

    Mrs. Stagner was born June 7, 1928, in Lancaster, Mo., the daughter of John E. and Grace (Tadlock) Humphrey.  She married Dean Stagner on May 15, 1946, in Iowa City.
