Helen L. Troxel Nickerson Buffington

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Helen L. Troxel Nickerson Buffington, 96, of Carrollton, Texas, formerly of Columbus Junction, died Monday, March 17, 2008, in the Madison on Marsh Lane in Carrollton.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Alan Barbee officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Spring Valley Bible Camp in Muscatine or the Langwood Education Center in Wapello.

      Mrs. Buffington was born Jan. 15, 1912, in Wyoming, Ill., the daughter of Ora J. and Hazel (Dell) Troxel. She married Arthur Nickerson in May 1927. She later married Edwin "Dusie" Buffington on April 8, 1939 in Palmyra, Mo.
