Helen Lenz
LONE TREE - Helen Lenz, 88, of Iowa City died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 in her home in Iowa City following a brief illness.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree with the Rev. Dave Meumann, associate pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Davenport, officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Iowa City Hospice.
Mrs. Lenz was born July 28, 1919 in West Liberty, the daughter of Ed and Olive (Hardy) Townsend. She married Wayne Lenz on Nov. 7, 1936 in Iowa City.
