Helen Margaret Owen

Helen Margaret Owen, 91, of Washington, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington, of a heart attack.

    A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 7, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, where the family invites friends to share their memories.  Memorials may be directed to the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program in Washington or the Planned Parenthood of Southeast Iowa.  Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.

    Mrs. Owen was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Davenport, the daughter of second-generation German immigrants Alphonso and Alma Greve.  She married John C. Owen, a local attorney, on Oct. 11, 1940.
