Helen Maxine Lamm, 75, of Keosauqua, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at the Henry County Health Center.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Ronald Presley officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home with family present from 12:30 to the time of service on Monday. Memorials have been established to the respiratory department of the Henry County Health Center.

Mrs. Lamm was born July 24, 1924, in Yarmouth, the daughter of Clifford and Maude Piper Lee. She married Willis Burl Lamm on Jan. 30, 1944, at Kahoka, Mo. She graduated from the Mediapolis High School. She loved to cook and collecting cook books. Her family was her pride and joy.

Survivors include her husband of Keosauqua; three daughters, Joyce McIntosh of Keosauqua, Patti Cole of Mt. Pleasant, and Darla Meyer of Burlington; three brothers, Harold Lee of Mt. Union, Roger Lee of Burlington, and Lyle Lee of Marshalltown; two sisters, Marcele Lee of Burlington and Twila Billings of Argyle; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Wayne.
